Designer Outlet Roermond

It is only a 5-minute walk from the city center to the Designer Outlet Roermond. With more than 8 million visitors a year, it is one of the biggest attractions in The Netherlands. It offers more than 185 designer shops, 25 restaurants, a large (semi-open) playground and a pleasant, bustling atmosphere. The Designer Outlet Roermond is more than worth a visit!

Shop till you drop

In the center of Roermond you will find the nicest fashion boutiques, concept stores and well-known large retail chains in beautiful old buildings. But also many unique specialty stores with, for example, the most delicious regional products and trendy home accessories. Every Wednesday Munsterplein changes into a cozy market square, framed by terraces created for optimal relaxation after shopping.

History

Roermond has a rich history, which is reflected in its beautiful churches, buildings and museums. Pierre Cuypers was an architect who had a special influence on Roermond. He represented the neo-Gothic style and movement and worked as a Government Architect from the end of the 19th century. His former residence has been tastefully transformed into a museum: The Cuypershuis. Walk from one monument to another and marvel at the old trading houses. In between you can settle down on one of the many terraces in Roermond.

Wine and dine

In Roermond you can enjoy true Burgundian hospitality. The many squares and terraces offer an abundance of food and restaurant options. Fancy a snack or a drink? Get to know the Roerkade, located on the water and one of the many places for the best restaurants, cafes and terraces. Walk from the Roerkade over to the Stone Bridge and experience the atmospheric St. Jacob suburb where you can discover many more special eateries.

On the edge of the town center you can find the ECI Cultuurfabriek, a true mecca of art, culture and culinary enjoyment. Enjoy a delicious espresso at Mr. Sammi, drink a smoothie or a cocktail starting from lunchtime to late night, or taste the best dishes from the open kitchen. Art, culture and theatre

Limburgians have a taste for culture and art and this can be seen and experienced. In addition to the many sights, there are numerous museums such as the Cuypershuis and the Historiehuis Roermond. The ECI Cultuurfabriek is home to a theatre, pop stage, two cinemas and an exhibition space. Even more options for theater can be found at Theaterhotel De Oranjerie in the center of Roermond.
